A.A. Moore & Son opened for business on November 1st. 1985, having purchased the main general store in the village of Kirby Muxloe, situated some 5 miles from the centre of Leicester. Originally a Father and Son partnership, Arthur Moore having 40 years experience in the greengrocery and flower retail trade and Jeremy Moore from a catering background but with 6 years managerial experience with Asda Stores Ltd. The aim of the project was to provide friendly, attentive but efficient service coupled with highest of quality, affordable products. To date, the business still trades from its original site, now fully refurbished, but still maintaining its traditional appearance and atmosphere. In sharp contrast to the initial 2 person partnership, the business now employs 4 professional florists providing beautiful floral arrangements suitable for all occasions, coupled with an enviable reputation for quality and freshness.
